About us

In Requiem, founded in 2024, is a family-run business providing non-denominational humanist celebrancy services. Our mission is to offer the most fitting celebration of life for family members, friends, and loved ones, ensuring comfort and support from initial contact through to the day of the celebration and beyond.

Our journey began in 2021 organising and celebrating a family funeral at a difficult time for the country, the company formally commenced in 2024 and have undertaking a number of celebrations since.

Led by John, a career senior detective with an extensive history of engaging with families during their most difficult times, In Requiem was born out of John’s passion for helping others to make the final journey peacefully memorable. John’s experience in managing funerals has shaped our compassionate and respectful approach and will ensure the celebration of life you would expect.

At In Requiem, we understand the profound sorrow death brings, particularly involving child deaths, suicide, and dementia. We recognise the importance of celebrating the lives of all of those we’ve lost. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive service that honours and commemorates each unique life.

We believe in offering compassionate and dignified services tailored to each family’s needs. We cater for all tones of funeral, whether vibrant, somber, or reflective.

We work closely with loved ones across all communities whilst collaborating with charities to address emotional and financial concerns sensitively and undertake a number of pro bono funerals annually for families affected by child death and suicide.
The entire police family and wider emergency services community is important to us and we offer bespoke support working with federations and associations.

The reason to choose In Requiem is our truly sensitive and direct contact with families in the weeks and days leading up to and post celebration. We offer supportive aftercare and maintain multiple contacts to fully understand and honour the life of your loved one.

This not a job it is our passion.
